As you begin a new workout routine, many begin to check the weight scale to make sure that it is heading in the right direction and make sure that progress is being made. In today’s day and age many consider talking about weight a very taboo subject, and even more so when someone is overweight. The results on the scale (if that’s whats being used to measure results) will more than often be not what your expecting, usually showing a meager weight loss, or even occasionally a weight gain, which could be extremely disappointing.

A very simple way of finding out if your workout routine is producing results involves the way your clothes fit on your body. If you find your clothes to be fitting a little loser around your waist or tighter in the chest and arms (for men) this is a good thing and properly shows that your workout routine is in fact working very well.
Try not to let the scale overcome the obvious results you are getting when you see how your clothes are fitting you. Also, make sure and celebrate the small yet very powerful achievements you are making towards your fitness goals, having clothes that fit better or that you find yourself looking better in is a sure fire way to convince you that you are doing something right and that you need to keep up the hard work to see even more results.
