There are a lot of people out there with busy lives and busy minds who experience fears and unwanted thoughts which viciously repeats itself like an unending cycle. While it is normal to have anxious thoughts every once in a while most especially if we are undergoing massive stress, it is however a different story if we begin experiencing relentlessly. However, essentially, we should all understand that the one thing responsible for all of these thought being conceived is our mind and we have control over it. And this is where the good news is; that you can practically tell your mind to cooperate for you to have a better living life.
OCD or obsessive compulsive disorder thoughts usually happen when there is an imbalance in the serotonin levels in the brain, and they are the one causing the massive anxieties one might experience. Because of these massive anxieties, the person then tends to develop compulsive behaviours deal with their anxiety in the hope that it might get rid of it. Eventually the person then begins to have obsessions where their minds play tricks on them and induce urges and fears. And in worst cases, the person develops into a state of depression for having lost all sense of hope in every getting cured from their condition let alone remedies their unwanted intrusive thoughts. People often comply with their obsessions and urges but this can negatively impact the person, as to the more the person tolerates the obsessions the more the person cements his or her condition.
A suppositious disorder or behaviour like Obsessions usually entails a particular mind-set or mentality like “If I don’t do this or do it, I will be able to guarantee myself safety”. True that this can actually quell your obsessions but these kind of thinking or the actions you will take to deal with the obsession is only temporary and it will not truly cure your condition at all and that one way or the other your obsessions will come back again as is or in a different form with different thoughts, and worsening. The worse it gets the more difficult it will be for you to get out from the condition. The more and more you cater or tolerate your obsessions all the more it would be difficult for you to undergo any kind or amount of therapy. The condition becomes permanent leaving your frustrate and hopeless. In some worst cases, people who suffer obsessions whom are not cure or permanently cemented with their condition lose their minds and are eventually confined in a mental institution. There you must challenge your obsession.
Another contributory factor is stress. Stress, especially if it’s a pretty heavy kind of stress will definitely weigh down the scale or the teeter-totter so to speak, and raise anxiety and OCD thoughts level sky high. The more the thoughts become out of control. Therefore, stressful situations should be avoided as much as possible.
