I am not going to the doctor to get medication for yeast infections any more. I have waited endless hours for the doctor’s office to open just to be told that they don’t have any time available for at least a week and sometimes I have to wait even longer than that! I had been searching for an alternative treatment to not only save me money, but to avoid having to put harmful chemicals into my body as well.
I started looking for different natural cures that would work and be less expensive than paying for a doctor and a prescription from the pharmacy. Here are three options that were easy for me to use and didn’t cost a lot.
Cranberry Juice- This is a fantastic treatment for even your most stubborn of symptoms. Drinking two large glasses of cranberry juice every day will help to restore the natural pH levels in the body and help to clean out your kidneys, urinary tract and it helps to hydrates as well. There are actually two ways that you can take cranberry in two ways- either in juice or in pill form.
Yogurt- So this cure can get slightly messy so you may want to try this one once you are in for the night. Yogurt can be used either externally or internally. For external use you can just take some and rub it on the irritated skin, yogurt is nice because it can soothe your skin. If you are going to use it internally then you could simply eat some or you could take a tampon that has been dipped into the yogurt and insert it into your vagina for a little while. It should be noted that you should only use sugar free plain organic yogurt for this.
Garlic- Garlic has been a well known cure all for women for many years. This, just like the other two cures are very easy to use. Another way that this can be utilized is to peel it and wrap it into a small piece of gauze then you would want to insert place this in your vagina, just don’t leave it in for too long.
