Billions of dollars every year are spent for weight loss and diet products with the majority of people on their second or twentieth attempt using a diet plan that is designed to fail. In this article I will explore the three big mistakes that people make when creating their diet plans and trying to lose weight.
1. Looks Great On Paper Sucks In Reality – So you spent countless hours researching and creating the ultimate diet but when it is time to actually do it day after day and week after week it is not long before the great idea turns into a bad idea. The main problem in this area is people tend to create these ultimate programs which they then try to work in their lives for a diet and exercise plan to truly work it has to be done the other way around. The diet and exercise needs to be designed for your life. If you do not have the extra few hours a week to go to the gym how are you going to be able to pull off your ultimate diet plan and if your new weight loss program is centered around incredible dishes but you do not have the time to actually prepare them then they do not make any sense nor will this diet plan work.
2. Commitment – Do you have any idea of the number of people who sign up for a yearly membership at their local gym but by the end of February only a very small fraction remain? A heck of a lot. It is one thing to start to do something but it is a whole other category actually going right to the end. Weight loss and getting healthy does not have a specific time line and if it did chances are it would be measured in months and years not days. If you want to start a new diet make sure that you are ready to commit a 100% and for at least two months or there is no point in doing it.
3. Sheer Boredom – There is nothing exciting about losing weight or going to the gym multiple times a week and this becomes painfully clear after the second week causing a lot of people to run away from their diet plans. It is essential that you mix things up and not go through the same old routine day in and day out for it will never last. Try new fruits and vegetables and instead of going to the gym next Thursday go to the local pool instead. Make sure that you are constantly adding to your diet plan with excitement or you will end up quitting due to the sheer boredom.
The goal of designing a diet plan is to help you on the journey of losing weight and becoming more healthier but in the end it needs to fit you in order to work. Remember the majority of people who purchase a weight loss diet plan have done so in the past. It is time to break the mold and create a diet plan for the individual and not for the masses. Good luck on your journey.
