Getting sexy abs easily is high on a lot of people’s lists for the summer. What that means is not putting in a lot of effort, but expecting big results. Sounds silly, doesn’t it? Well there will be some work involved, but not too much. You just need to know that abs have functions like every other muscle group in your body and you need to know how to work them. I’m here to tell you what you need to do to get the flat abs you’re after. Maybe all it will take is some new tummy toning exercises for women.
First off, every one already has stomach muscles. Now I realized that when I’m making you train your core for one more set and you say, “But I don’t have any abs muscles,” that it’s only an excuse to get out of the exercise. The fact is that they are in there somewhere and just need to be train with some strength and endurance.
Listen, it’s absurd to think you don’t have abs already. You’re born with them and they are needed for your day to day functionality. It’s what keeps you standing upright all day.
What you need to realize first of all is that you’re born with abs. It’s a muscle groups like every other. And it’s is need for your day to day functionality. You simply wouldn’t be able to survive without them. Your new task is not “build six pack abs”, but rather to expose the shapes that you already have, forcing everyone at the beach this summer to notice your abs.
Many people in the gym totally miss the point and find themselves doing endless crunches. I’m not one to say that crunches are bad or useless like some of those wacky trainers, but you need to mix in some other (better) exercises too.
You mainly only work the muscles on the upper front of your abdominal wall when doing crunches. You are limiting your ability to twist and work other muscle groups when you lay on your back doing crunches. When you do abdominal movements standing up, you can twist and squeeze and tighten any muscle group, without putting extra pressure on your back bones.
By doing the twisting movements you are going to reach a whole different group of abdominal muscles, the ones the burn the fat from your sides. AKA your love handles.
Remember I said that your abs are there already, it’s just a matter of unveiling them to the world. These exercises are designed to help you achieve that and burn that little bit of extra puppy fat to show them off. This should be your new goal “They’re already there. I just need to expose them!” Go and shape them and show them this summer.
