Ultrasonic Liposuction: The Desired Liposuction

Have you been trying really hard to get rid of those extra pounds and inches by diet and exercise and they just are not working? There is no need to continue fighting a losing battle. You have just leveled off and will probably not be able to obtain your ultimate goal without a little outside assistance. A new cosmetic procedure known as UAL, better known as Ultrasonic Liposuction was recently introduced and has quickly grown to be the most desirable form of cosmetic liposuction.

Ultrasonic liposuction originated in Europe in 1990 and became an accepted form of lipo in the United States in 1997. This new method uses ultrasonic waves to liquefy the fat. A small hand held devise is glided over the area in which you are trying to eliminate the fat. The vibrations disrupt the molecules causing the fat to break up and liquefy. When combined with traditional liposuction, fat elimination can be optimized.

The UAL method is much safer and less invasive than the traditional liposuction. You do not run the risk of puncturing other organs, tearing tissue or damaging nerves. It is also possible to do this particular method without having any incisions at all. If you are not getting rid of a lot of fat the ultrasonic vibrations can be used to break up the fat and transform it into a liquefied state and the body can dispose of it naturally. The only stipulation is the body can only process so much fat before it could become harmful. Keeping all this in mind, discussing your options with the doctor would be wise.

If you combine UAL and traditional liposuction, you can obtain optimum results. The ultrasonic vibrations are done with the use of a small devise which is guided over the trouble areas on the exterior of the body. The waves then penetrate through the skin and begin disrupting the fat molecules breaking them down into a liquid. The liquid can then be sucked out of the body via a cannel or it can be expelled naturally through the body. The only drawback to expelling the liquid fat naturally is the body can only handle so much so if you are removing a significant amount you will have to use the traditional method of sucking it out via a cannel.

Just because UAL is a new safer form of liposuction does not mean there are not risks involved. Any type of procedure is going to hold some form of risk. The risks with traditional liposuction include; swelling, bruising, damage to internal organs, bleeding and damage to tissue and nerves. Some of these risks are eliminated with UAL however there are several new risks involved. There is less bruising and swelling and there is less chance of damage to internal parts; however, with ultrasonic vibrations you run the risk of getting burns.

The key to successful ultrasonic liposuction is having someone who is trained in that particular form of cosmetic sculpting to perform the procedure. Just because someone is a cosmetic doctor does not mean they are versed in all the methods. With the UAL method you are melting the fat which means you are heating it so the molecules separate. You may not feel the effects of these ultrasonic burns immediately but they are possible if the procedure is done improperly.

The best way to eliminate the chance of any side effects or problems is to use someone who specializes in ultrasonic liposuction. Using someone that is not experienced with this specialized method increases your risks and chances for side effects. The first step in prevention is knowledge. Do not make the mistake of thinking that all cosmetic surgeons are trained in all the different methods of liposuction.

There are pros and cons associated with the traditional and the UAL methods of liposuction. You just need to be aware of everything associated with each procedure and decide which one is better for you. Remember, ultrasonic liposuction can be used either invasive or non-invasive and can allow for optimum fat removal. Times are changing and things are improving so are the cosmetic procedures.
