Do you get sleepy at work? Almost all of us have this happen to us. This is exacerbated if we have an unhealthy lifestyle. This can be alleviated. The following are some tips on how to have more energy all day at work.
#1- Avoid simple carbohydrates at lunch. Healthier eating that limits these simple carbohydrates for lunch will help with fatigue. Your fatigue will be helped by good choices at lunch.
Sugary carbohydrates are found in fast food, candy bars, and the sodas we drink. The digestive system zaps us of our energy just to digest these foods. You end up sleepy and slamming your head on your desk for a nap. You just can’t stay awake and that is not a good thing.
Better choices can be found in eating salads, fruits, nuts, and lean cuts of meat. You will get benefits of energy and being able to trim down. You get more energy and will look better.
#2- Move your body. Make a daily thirty minute commitment to exercising. Walking will suffice. Just do something. This is will improve your blood circulation and stamina. Do not start out too strenuous and injure yourself.
#3- Get proper rest. This means getting a good quality and quantity of sleep at night. It is recommended to get at least 7 hours of good quality sleep to avoid being fatigued during the day. You want that refreshed felling in the morning.
Do not get that last glass of water right before bed. A full bladder can really interrupt your sleep. You should not drink within thirty minutes of going to bed or you will not sleep as deeply.
Add these ideas to your lifestyle. Over time you will feel increased energy that will not only help you at work but you will have some energy when you get home.
