Weight Loss Diets

50.3 MILLION – that’s how many sites Google will turn up for you if you search for a weight loss diet. Lots of people have lots of solutions for weight loss, most of them involving selling you something. It’s big business. But what’s the real solution?

The problem that most people have with diets is some weight is shed but soon after it’s gained back again. Once a person does a few diets like this, a person gets tired of the see-saw, gives up on dieting and settles for being unhappy about the weight.

Years go by and weight goes up. Because of the excess weight the probability of other problems arise – diabetes, heart disease, etc. But there actually exists a solution to take weight off and keep it off and it’s been around for over 50 years.

In the 1930s and 1940s a doctor named Simeons was doing research about tropical diseases. He carried on his research over a long period of time – nearly 20 years. When he lived in India he made an intriguing discovery about body weight. He observed that healthy and fat little babies were born to women who were underweight from lack of nourishment. His discovery applies to people who are both overweight and underweight.

Dr. Simeons found that there was a hormone that regulated weight. The hormone is Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or HCG, it is related to the hypothalamus gland and is produced during pregnancy. The most amazing part of his discovery was how HCG causes the body to consume it’s own fat for energy.

He wrote a paper in 1954 called “Pounds and Inches: A New Approach to Obesity.” He wrote about the possibilities of using HCG for correcting weight problems, and said, “… obesity in all its many forms is due to an abnormal functioning of some part of the body.”

Dr. Simeons discussed the possibility of using HCG hormone as a way to shed fat from a body and change the metabolism of the body so that the pounds stay off even after the diet is done. The hormone can reset the hypothalamus gland. A person who is fat has a problem with this hormone, whether he or she eats too much or the right proportions or too little.

Dr. Simeons advice has been tested and used by other practioners successfully without side effects to help a person to achieve and maintain a weight goal.
