Rawism is the same thing with raw foodism or raw food diets. Unlike many people think, rawism is not just a way of eating, but a whole lifestyle that many people adopt nowadays for its beneficial results. It is in fact the first step towards a body cleansing that should always be done before attempting a spiritual cleansing through meditation. It has many adepts and it has entered the world of celebrities, who understood that this is the way towards a fulfilling life and maintaining a great physical shape until venerable ages.
An important fact about rawism is that no cooked or processed aliments are allowed in the diet. Everything that we eat should be in the raw state because cooking at high temperatures destroys natural enzymes, micro-organisms and bacteria found in the aliments in their natural state. These have positive effects on our body, effects that we cannot get from other places. Even those diets that allow cooking, allow it to be done at temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius at most. There are in fact three basic types of raw food diets: raw vegetarianism, raw vegetarianism and raw omnivorism.
The first category, of raw vegetarianism requires eating only fruits and vegetables. They mustn’t be cooked and any diary product or meat should be totally excluded. Some find it kind of difficult to follow, but the effects are definitely worth it. Most raw vegans can see improvements in their health conditions immediately.
The raw vegetarian diet is similar to the previous type. The main aliments that are allowed are fruits and vegetables that should be unprocessed, but dairy products and eggs can also be introduces in the diet. They should also be eaten in the natural state. The main feature in this type of diet is the total elimination of meat and meat products.
The raw animal diet or the raw onmnivorism allows consuming foods from all groups of aliments. This means including meat, meat-organs, but only unprocessed. People can eat practically anything they want as long it is uncooked. However, there are some aliments, such as raw beans, raw grains or raw soy that are excluded because they can be toxic in their natural state and cause digestive problems.
Even though most foods should not require any time or effort for preparation, there are some that should be cooked well in advance. Cooking in the raw food diet means soaking the aliments overnight so that they can be eaten. This lifestyle has only positive effects on the body but also on the soul, helping both reach an equilibrium.
