You want to set goals that are aggressive without being impossible to achieve. If you set goals that are beyond your reach you will find that frustration will be your dieting partner until you reach the point where you give up all together. In order to avoid this you should take great care to insure that your goals are possible for you to achieve.
About losing weight, it is important that you have goals that are particular and specific. Be easy with yourself. Just like what it is advised, you do not have to set up difficult ones instantly, you can find ways to make it easier. If you wanted to lose 40 pounds then you can divide in 4 times instead of making it all at once. That is the secret there; you can even lose it by 10 pounds a month because it is impossible to make lose it 40 pounds a month. You need to make yourself prepared with the things that you are undergoing.
Also, what you should be careful about your goals is that you will still be the one that would receive the fruit of it all. That is the reason why, you do not have to make yourself be in shock so that you can maintain your goal. There would be a time that you will be adjusting with what you do but make sure that you still arrive at the correct one in the next attempt.
Make sure that the goals that you have set are truly yours and not orchestrated by other people for you to do. This is simply because if someone else did the homework for you then you would not feel fulfilled for whatever you may have acquired. Sometimes, what other people would like us to do is not what we truly want so there is a big possibility that you will just simply quit on it without any regret because you know it’s not your idea.
Lastly, after harvesting the fruit of your suffering, you need to give yourself a break or something that would make you happy. Like if you have successfully done your diet plan, you may give yourself a new gadget or accessory or you can even treat yourself to a new place but do not let yourself fall for the food trip. That is not the one that I meant. Make yourself feel that in the end of it all, you will be able to acquire other things except food. This would make dieting even more effective.
