Arm strengthening is a good thing to try and do with a chair. A good way to do this is to stand behind the chair and put your hands under the back rest and lift the chair. Then place it back down and repeat.
If you want to work out your upper body then you want to do a variation of push ups. This can be done in two ways. You can put your hands on the seat of the chair and do push ups that way or you can put your hands on the floor with you feet in the chair if you want a more challenging workout.
If leg exercises are what you are looking into these can also be very easy with a chair. What you need to do is stand in front of the chair and put one foot in the seat of the chair and then step up with the other one. After this step back down onto the floor and then repeat while rotating legs. If you want a more intense workout then try having your back to the chair and put a foot against the chair and then use the other leg to stretch forward.
If you want to workout your arms then the easy way to do this using a chair is to position yourself where you are sitting on the chair and then place your arms on the seat of the chair, and slowly lift your body and lower your body with your feet off the floor, by doing this then you put most of your weight on your arms, so this can help you a lot.
If you want to work your midsection then try this variation of a crunch. While sitting in the chair put your feet up against the wall or under a secure object. Then lower your body back down and then pull yourself up. Pretty much doing a crunch.
