One mother who stated that she wanted to lose weight, get a college degree, and have her teeth repaired is one such example of this. Such investments are not strange for orthodontists. Adults receiving orthodontic treatment are warned by orthodontists that the treatment will be 10 to 15 percent more expensive and will also take a longer time. Orthodontic treatment for adults would last six months less than 3 years, but the patient would still spend one more year wearing retainers. Though treatment is expected to reach over a thousand dollars, the actual cost is only determined when the geographical area and the gravity of the case is known.
