There are foods and then there are super foods. And stacking your diet with super foods is a great way to increase you health and weight loss.

2. Turkey: You should be eating turkey all the time, not just during thanksgiving. Not only is it one of the leanest sources of protein, but it also has carnosine-a substance that preserves muscle tissue. In addition, turkey is a nice break from eating chicken breasts all the time.

3. Spinach: This is one of the most versatile leafy greens you can eat. It doesn’t have a strong taste, combines well with many dishes, is an excellent source of fiber and is super high in calcium. And adequate calcium intakes are absolutely critical for women.

4. Lentils: I really like lentils, even more than beans because they are easier to eat, in my opinion. And lentils combine with so many different dishes. Even better, they are one of the slowest digesting sources of carbohydrates and are very cheap.

5. Tofu: A great alternate source of protein, tofu is loaded with omega 3 fats and is very healthy. Now there has been some concern with overdoing the soy intake, just make sure you don’t have more than a couple servings per day and you will be fine.

The above foods are great tools for increasing health and weight loss. Having said that, never forget that foods work synergistically, in combination with each other. So make sure you have as much variety as possible!
