A lot of people like to stay healthy and live long in life. This has made it especially important that parents start their children on good and healthy foods that will keep them strong and give them a strong foundation for their growth.
The mother’s breast milk is the most proven way to start. This is naturally healthy and rich for the child. Baby foods and formulas must be avoided even in times when you want to move the child onto solid foods. Simple and healthy alternatives must be used instead.
Moving the child on into solid foods can be tricky. However to safely do this, easy to digest foods must be used. Fruits serve this great purpose. Fruits like papaya and buttermilk squash can be mashed into a paste to allow easy digestion and then slowly and carefully fed to the child.
Cereals, vegetables and broths are the next step for the child after it has gone on mashed fruits for some time. Other foods can be used as well like boiling carrots and potatoes and mashing them are also options that can be used.
Banana can be mashed into a thin porridge. This is a great food for the child as well. However, the porridge and mashes must be thin and uncomplicated. You must also never add sugar and salt to the food as your baby’s stomach is still learning.
As they grow you can add organic chicken to the child’s mashes. This will make the broth maintain all the nutrients in the chicken. The child is however not required to eat any of the chicken.
To keep your child healthy some food which can be fed to it at this time can still be restricted. Foods like broccoli, cauliflower, onions and garlic are known to cause wind by filling the child with gas. They should therefore be taking away from the child for some time.
Feeding your child at home is best as your know exactly what you give them. You can tell what goes into their food.
