I Want To Lose Weight. What Is The Best Way? Restrictive Eating? Exercise? Diet Pills And Supplements? Find Out Here.

With so many contradicting messages and websites on weight loss, it’s hard to know where to begin. Do you go on a diet? Atkins? South Beach? Do you join a gym? Do you have determination and drive to stick to an exercise plan, or will it drop away in a couple of weeks? How about diet pills. Surely that’s the easiest option? All very confusing, and you need to do lots of research before deciding which route you are going to take.

6 weeks ago I weighed in at just under 18 stones. My weight had steadily risen since I eased off playing rugby as seriously as I once did. It was time to do something about it.

So, the dilemma. Do I go on a restrictive eating diet? Do I start to exercise more? Do I look for a miracle in a bottle?

I like food. I like eating. I’m not a junk food or binge eater. I don’t mind eating healthily so long as I can eat enough, enjoy what I eat, and not feel hungry.

Exercise is good for everyone. I think if anyone is serious about losing weight, they need to be exercising regularly and burning excess calories. You are not going to lose weight slouched in front of the TV.

Not wanting to rule out diet pills and the like, I researched what was on offer on the internet and in the local chemists. What had good feedback. What was overpriced. What I really did’t like the look of.

Is an appetite suppressant better than a fat burner? How does Acai compare to Hoodia?

So many considerations before choosing a supplement, if indeed, that is the route you decided to take. Select one that works with your lifestyle, addresses your dietary issues. Do your research. Read review sites and user feedback. Do not buy the first pill you see.

So you’ve now researched diets, gym memberships and slimming pills. What now? Which way do you go? Fastest results? Easiest to do?

This is what I recommend.

Any weight loss program firstly has to address what you eat. Make sure you eat the right fooodstuff, do not consume to many calories and do not have over dependence on one particular food type, i.e. proteins or carbs.

Exercise is good. Exercise burns up calories, and burning calories is what you want. Everybody should exercise, regardless of whether they want to lose weight. Regular exercise will help shed the pounds, as you keep calorie intake sensible too. Obviously 3000 calories per day and a 20 minute jog isn’t going to do much for your paunch.

Do not rule out using diet supplements. Some work, some don’t. What works for one person might not work for you. Doyour research. Visit numerous sites. Read forums. You’ll soon get an idea of what type of product would be right for you, where you should buy it and how long it will take to have any noticeable effects.

2 months ago I was 18 stones. Today I’m 16st 6lbs.

Did I take pills? Did I up my exercise levels? Do I pay more attention to what I eat?

All three!

I started to eat fewer carbs as I was aware I seemed to build my meals around them.

I now train three times a week for an hour a time. Good heart thumping exercise. Three hours isn’t excessive but certainly far more than I was doing.

Yes, I bought some pills. I opten for a calorie burning pill because whilst I eat healthily, quantity can push up calorie intake.

So I’ve now lost some weight. What has caused it? Something from the above for sure.

So from my experience. I wouldn’t recommend one singular route to weight loss. I’d advocate healthy eating, increased exercise and the use of a pro-slimming supplement. It has certainly worked for me so far.
