Do We Really Need A Sequel To P90X?

After years of eager anticipation the P90X exercise and fitness community was finally rewarded with the confirmation that there would in fact be a sequel to P90X. The sequel is still far off as there is not a specific day or month when it’s scheduled to be launched, only that it is planned to be released sometime near the end of summer 2011.

The real question though that needs to be asked is does the world really need another P90X? For many P90X is a very intense extreme home work out that allows you to reshape and rebuild and a fine your body in as little as 90 days.

If you found yourself asking the very same question consider the following statements. Many that use P90X for 90 days are fully satisfied with the results form it and only need to do a little bit of maintaining in order to keep their results. For others though that’s not the case, when the 90 days is over they need to start the program over. In order for those in the latter category to not become bored or for their muscles to plateau they have to continually change up the program accordingly.

Since muscle confusion is really the base idea and foundation behind the program and make sense that change is always necessary. The term muscle confusion to the layman simply means to constantly change the exercises that are done so much so that your body never becomes used to the same type of training and therefore plateaus. All of the DVDs on P90X are made up of exercises that are continually changing so much so that it’s not on a daily basis as much as it is on a per minute basis. P90X implements muscle confusion on a broad scope throughout the entire program as well as on a very small scope so that every single exercise on every single DVD is changing.

Since that backdrop is what P90X is all about, keeping your muscles confused it would make sense then that a completely redesigned program is very much needed. Tony Horton has developed several workout routines in the past from power 90 to the 10 minute trainer to great body guaranteed to his one on one DVD program that is shot in a very real sense without any type of studio or any additional trainers in the background.

Tony for sure has all kinds of other exercises that he will be bringing together when he finishes creating the sequel to P90X. When this fact was made known it became evident that the timing was right for the sequel to be done and this time it had to be done well. The reason I say this time it had to be done well is because this is not the first time the P90X family has had additional workouts. Several years ago beach body released what was called P90X plus, not so much a sequel to P90X as it was additional workouts to the standard program but nevertheless a slight let down for those that were looking for more.

A few of the P90X fans that are out there probably feel that the program is absolutely fine the way that it is and that a sequel will only take away from the original program. While those fans do exist by and large most have come to the conclusion that it is definitely time for the next P90X. The timing is right for a whole slew of new exercise routines, that are much needed in order to keep someone’s muscles still guessing. Regardless if you’re for or against it, P90X MC2 or muscle confusion two should end up being a program that is going to be completely jampacked of fresh exercise ideas that will give you what you need while at the same time sticking to the original P90X theme.

The new programs name says it all and promises not just a new spin on an old program but something that is brand-new and fresh and completely redesigned taking the original P90X to the next level. The original workout routine is one that has helped countless people and for many cannot be topped. In the meantime all we can do is sit back and wait to see if P90X MC2 will take the recommendation of its fitness trainer and end up bringing it!

The sequel to Tony Horton’s most successful in home workout program of all time is going to be called P90X MC2. this revolutionary workout routine is guaranteed to keep your body wanting more and take the phrase “bring it” to the next level.
