The truth is that anyone who has successfully dieted and lost weight can tell you that all too often there is still some body shaping left to be done. Areas of fat that remain in certain areas, in spite of the lost weight on the entire body. A double chin, tummy roll, etc.
If this sounds at all like your case, or even if you’re interested in body sculpting without having gone on a diet, there is the option of laser liposuction for fat reduction. That is laser technologies that are now being used to help people eliminate fat in those certain areas.
For sure you are at least somewhat familiar with liposuction. Also if you have spent any amount of time looking into lipo then you’re aware that there are some inherent risks involved with it. Excessive bleeding is one of them, as is problems with delivering predictable results in some cases.
That has all changed though with what is commonly referred to laser liposuction. It uses a laser that’s directed through the skin prior to using a smaller cannula, and with it more predictable results are achieved after healing. There also tends to be less bleeding as well.
With this procedure, the laser works to actually “melt the fat” by breaking up the actual fat cells. Much like when you fry bacon. The benefits of this new system are that it allows for more precision work, resulting in more predictable results. The laser also cauterizes blood vessels.
Still one more option that’s in fact non surgical, yet uses this same technology is what is often called Zerona, or “cold laser” system. No incision is made because the light beam is directed through the skins surface, where it works to dissolve away fat cells.
Now one big difference with the Zerona system, is that it uses a far less powerful concentrated light source to prevent burning which would lead to visible scaring on the skins surface. Also because it is far less intrusive, the results aren’t as immediate as with liposuction.
In the end though, it’s important to remember about laser liposuction is that in spite of the higher level of technology employed, both of these procedures take time to deliver optimal results. There is a healing process involved. Another thing to bear in mind, is that neither of these procedures are for general weight loss.
