It’s impossible to get rid of arm fat while being addicted to sugar. You see, excessive sugar intakes keep insulin levels sky high. And insulin blocks fat burning throughout the body.
But what if you aren’t sure about the first question? What if you don’t know whether or not you’re addicted? If so, please ask yourself the following questions:
1. Has it been impossible to stop no matter how much effort you put forth? Now if you find yourself eating sugar despite best efforts to stop the madness, then you are probably addicted. If the sugar always finds its way back to you, an addiction is lurking.
2. Do you have symptoms of withdrawal whenever you don’t consume sugar? If you get headaches, bad moods or massive cravings that are vivid, then you are presenting symptoms of withdrawal.
3. Have you developed the ability to generate complex reasons as to why you are NOT addicted? If you consistently come up with detailed arguments in defense of not being addicted, then you may be addicted.
4. Can you ignore the risks? If you can ignore the risks of continual sugar consumption despite having a serious health issue, then we have some serious work to do. Having excessive amounts of sugar is NOT healthy, and you need to accept this.
5. Do you use sugar to offset other negative areas of your life? Does the sugar make that bad relationship, the abuse or the negative emotions go away? If you are using sugar highs to offset other negative aspects of your existence, be careful.
And rest assured that sugar addiction is real, very real. Rodents given high intakes of sugar show similar brain alterations as compared to drug use. Also, doctors routinely use sugar as a powerful pain killer when performing surgery on infants.
The key here is to do a truth-bearing self analysis. If you answered yes to any of the questions, then you must seriously consider the fact that you may be addicted to sugar. If you know you’re addicted, then you must seek professional help. There are many different methods of treatment for every type of person.
One more thing: don’t wait to take action on this information. After all, if information isn’t acted upon, it’s rendered useless.
