You may wonder what light can do for you besides make it easier to walk around, but the fact is that light therapy for healing and pain relief is used all over the world with sometimes startling results. Too many benefits of shining different lights on parts of the body have been documented to dismiss this treatment as nonsense.
Even the FDA of the United States, an agency charged with examining drugs and treatments for safety and effectiveness, has approved some forms of light therapy. One such is exposing patients to focused blue light, to treat acne. Used in the doctor’s office or home for fifteen minutes twice a week, a DPL light therapy system destroys bacteria that damage the skin.
Safe because the isolated light has no harmful ultraviolet components, and less severe on total body health than antibiotics, the light treatment helps well over half of the patients who try it. They also do not have to stay out of the sun, which also helps clear up this skin problem. No negative side effects of any kind have been experienced with this therapy. The blue light is isolated from the other ‘bands’ of color, or frequencies; you can see many of these bands in a rainbow or a prism.
Dr. Robert Jay Rowen, New York MD, has a book called “Color Me Healthy”, which is a good way to start learning about this therapy. It may take a physicist to really understand the process, but all of us can relate to the case histories in this account, and accept that this improbable theory is actually a natural healing miracle. For example, blood can be taken from a patient, exposed to red light, and returned, where the red frequency works through the entire body to restore health. Truth stranger than fiction.
Frequency of light works as do other frequency treatments, like music, homeopathy, and magnetic therapy. Just because we may not understand how it works, does not mean that we can’t accept the fact that it does. For example, therapists join light to another therapy when they stimulate acupuncture points with a beam of red light. Pain is relieved, swelling goes down, and general well-being is enhanced.
Beyond red light is the infrared frequency, invisible to humans. It penetrates deep through tissue to deliver heat to the target area, fostering circulation and beneficial perspiration, resulting in detoxification through the skin and by way of the kidneys. People visit infrared saunas for cleansing during many health restoring regime.
An Indian doctor of the 1800s studies the theories of light therapy of the day and ended by creating his own system that he call Spectro-chrome. Dinshah Ghadiali, dissatisfied with current medical practices, writes of many hopeless cases being cured by light. His first experience was a last ditch attempt using a kerosene lamp and a glass bottle, indigo in color. The patient lived and the rest is history.
So what? You can shine a flashlight through glass and heal yourself? Yes, and no. You can actually buy kits with isolated color film disks, to put over a light source when you want a home treatment. You can visit a licensed or certified practitioner. But in emergencies, yes! Use what knowledge and color you have at hand. People say just exposing your glass of water to full-spectrum sunlight can boost its health giving properties.
Light therapy for healing and pain relief should be taught in every school, but you will have to do your own investigating. However, rest assured that learning this safe, non-invasive, and effective way of treating illness will not be a waste of time.
Gretchen Robertvine just started using her DPL Nuve, and is already getting results. She writes for companies such as Better Health Innovations, a leader in light therapy lamp systems.
