They may worry about someone or something without end. It can disrupt their entire day and even lead to panic attacks. Even the smallest things can cause them to worry endlessly.
Since severe anxiety gives way to a lot of other problems it is common for people with this to also suffer from social fears. It is possible for them to avoid people and social situations because they do not want to be embarrassed or criticized by what they are experiencing. The best way for them to do this is by simply avoiding people.
In more extreme cases people with intense symptoms of severe anxiety disorder may find their daily life greatly affected. They may choose to completely detach themselves from society, even giving up things such as work. It can cause them to stay locked up in their homes where they feel secure or in control of the environment and situation.
Severe anxiety sufferers often have a strong sense of wanting to control the situation and environment they are in. this can give rise to yet another disorder known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD.
