In our times, infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria and other pathogens have been multiplying. There had been reported epidemics of diseases such as AH1N1, SARS, bird’s flu, ebola, and dengue just to name a few. Outbreaks had been seen in developed countries, and developing countries. These diseases had lead to many fatalities all over the world. The pathogens causing these disease outbreaks are of a different strain from what we have encountered from before. They have mutated and seemed to have grown fangs and are immune to the antibiotics our scientists have developed. The prevention of these outbreaks is one of the top priorities of our medical researchers and scientists.
