Working toward fat loss is tough for anyone. How do you get rid those extra inches of fat that seem to keep persistently hanging on? Here are a few tips, some common, others that you may not have thought of:
Weight training: Yes, we know you don’t necessarily want to hear it, but there is really no healthy way to lose body fat aside from exercise. There are other things that help, but this is the number one thing you should start doing.
Drink lots of water: It has also been proven that water can boost your metabolic rate. Studies show that by drinking 1.5 liters a day, you can burn an extra 17,400 calories per year (an extra 5 pound weight loss!)
Drink green tea: This special tea has many healthful properties. Its high level of antioxidants will boost your immune system, but it also has metabolism-boosting properties. Drink a little every day.
Change the routine workout occasionally: While you may be very consistent with your daily exercise regimen, you should know that switching it up will work parts of your body that may not be getting it otherwise. Burn more fat in more places by trying different forms of exercise.
Eliminate stress: Do everything you can to reduce the stress in your life, as this will only make losing body fat harder. In fact, in many cases those who are stressed will only end up gaining rather than losing. Stress causes high levels of hormones, which in turn will create cravings, leading to snacking and overeating. And because of the high level of hormones, your body will store more of the fat away than it typically would.
Eat breakfast every day: Some think that skipping meals will lead to fat loss, but there are some meals you should never miss if you want to be on the right track. Eat a good breakfast containing fiber, protein, dairy, and fruit. Studies show that 80% of those who eat breakfast are able to keep the weight off more easily.
