If you want to assure pregnancy, you should use the perfect timing of sexual intercourse. Monitor the time when you are fertile because this will be the major factor for your assurance. To start a successful pregnancy, there are actually three ways wherein you can identify your fertility. You can use these natural methods of fertility to predict the time of your conception and successful pregnancy and to answer the question Are you fertile? The three fertility markers that you can use to monitor your fertility are the cervical fluid test, the cervical position identification and the basal body temperature.
The first marker for fertility is your vaginal secretions. This secretion is very useful in determining your fertility. This cervical mucus, which is secreted by the cervix, can be observed to monitor when you are fertile. By checking the consistency and the quantity of the mucus, you can answer the question Are you fertile? And since the mucus is in large quantity during the menstrual cycle, you can expect it to become low after the cycle which makes it understood why women feel dry.
The normal consistency of the cervical mucus during the start of the menstruation is cloudy and thick. When the cycle is in the middle period, the mucus turns into clear, slippery, and stretchy mucus, just like the consistency of an egg white. This is an indication that you are getting fertile.
To personally feel it and observe the changes, of course, you can check the mucus yourself. Using your own hands, wipe your vagina gently. Make sure your hands are clean and thoroughly washed before doing it. Look if the mucus is clear, stretchy, and clear in color. If this is so, then you can say that you are fertile and ready for pregnancy.
The second marker for fertility test is to check your cervical position. The cervix changes its position as the cycle goes every month. But this fact is not really known to most women. During the cycle, the cervix changes its position and this is a major indication that a woman is fertility. Observe and monitor its position daily for accuracy.
The normal position of the cervix at the start of the cycle is in low position. As the cycle goes to its end, the cervix begins to get to a higher position. To check its position, you can insert your clean finger and feel your cervix. The tissue that feels rounded cylindrical mass is the cervix.
Another way to answer the question ‘are you fertile’ is to measure the basal body temperature or the BBT. The BBT is the body’s baseline temperature. This temperature usually rises when you are fertile. At the start of the cycle, the BBT is usually at the low rate and then increases slightly on the day of ovulation and continues to that level of temperature until the start of the next cycle.
For accurate results, you should get your BBT in the morning while you are still in bed and before you do any of your routine. Avoid sipping drinking water or gargling tap water before doing it. Just place an oral thermometer in your mouth and get your BBT. Make a daily chart of your temperature to personally monitor how your temperature rises. The increase in your temperature could be an indication that you are fertile.
So now that you know three ways to help determine if you are fertile or not, using one alone can bring you success in getting pregnant, but using two or all three of the methods together may further increase your odds. The better in tune you are with your body and the changes that occur throughout your cycle, the more prepared you will be to answer that all-important question, “Am I fertile right now and can I get pregnant?” Best of luck!
