It’s a brand new year! Time to make some good resolutions with your bath and body and makeup products. Taking proper care of these products can really go a long way.
Resolution #1: Clean your makeup bag out! Makeup naturally spills and makes a mess of your bag. Dump out all your makeup and clean out the inside and outside of your makeup bag with an antibacterial cloth to keep your bag looking its best.
Resolution Number Two – While your makeup is out of the bag look for your outdated or expired products. The ones you find you need to toss. This holds true for any outdated bath and body products you may have.
Resolution Number 3: Try new products if you are unhappy with the current ones you are using. There is no point in continuing to get the same annoying bath and body wash that leaves your skin irritated or eye shadow that flakes all over your face. Don’t go back to the familiar if you aren’t happy with the product. Ask friends and family members for recommendations or even the sales clerks.
Resolution Number 4: Remember quality is much better than quantity. During this type of economy it is only natural that you will want to save money on items and get the best deal. However, when it comes to makeup you will get what you paid for.
I ran in to an example of this last weekend. I was shopping at a convenience store and saw some really cute, pretty nail polish shades. They were pretty inexpensive and I bought quite a few of them. However, within a day the polish was already peeling off. You wouldn’t have this problem with good, professional quality nail polish.
Resolution Number 5: Clean out your makeup brushes. Makeup brushes should be cleaned out routinely, so if you haven’t remembered to do it for a little while it is important to get in the habit of it. You can purchase brush cleaners that will clean your brushes and keep oil and bacteria from building up a lot on your brushes.
These are only a few of the resolutions you can choose to do this year. What are some other ones that you want to try out? Leave your ideas and comments below.
