Dealing with our fears in is something we have been doing for millions of years, it all came about from what is called our lizard brain … also known as the amygdala. This primeval brain stem is our lower brain, where basic emotions function from. Call it a memory bank for emotions … fear being one of them.
We all make quick decisions when cornered, some of these decisions are irrational and afterwards we wonder why we reacted the way we did! What made us do it, why did we have a panic attack and become feared in an irrational way? We use something that is called the ’emotion of fear’. It is something that is stored within all of us. How do we overcome such irrational fear like public speaking for instance? We have to start by working on changing the stored emotions.
Next time you are caught between a rock and a hard place you will understand why the lizard brain kicks in and makes you act the way you do. And how long have we been doing this for, well since we were lizards of course. So long as the lizard brain is having its needs fulfilled then that is all what it is cared about in its land of black and white, as there is no in between areas to think of. Simply put, it controls emotions in an instant, in the now … it does not think ahead, as that is what out higher brain is for. Experiencing fear can wrench your mind into scenarios of thought that see you as failing in everything you do. Overtly thinking, the lizard brain thinks a set of thoughts that point us in the direction of failure. These thoughts expand fear like a hot air balloon being inflated. This is when you become iced-up with emotion and can’t move.
Accommodating these fear emotions is like feeding a hungry lion, it will only become hungry again and you have to go through the same cycle. So why not just rid yourself of these fear emotions for good, as that is the answer to the fix you require. You wouldn’t get out of your car when travelling around a wild animal park and embrace a wild lion, and that is how you have to see your fear. Do not embrace it as it will bite you nastily. Yet some therapists say you should embrace your fear! Well of course now you can see that this advice is very risky, as unsafe as asking you to embrace a wild lion! Why? Well because all what you are doing is storing that fear emotion within your lizard brain’s memory banks, and then it can be drawn on again and again to make you feel just as bad the next time you are confronted by what it is you are feared of. So do be warned.
Fear can often wrench your mind into an unreal, impending situation where you have fear of failure. It is brought on because your brain over evaluates a probable set of circumstances. This in turn drags you into a downward chain of events that blows up and feeds your fear even more! Hence you become paralysed in the grasp of fear.
How do you overcome this and escape being the grip of fear? Self-help guru and best selling author Stephen Richards says, “When fear strikes you it is your lizard brain, scientifically known as the amygdala, which takes over. Your nervous system is flooded with powerful neurochemicals. Hence your senses, such as hearing and vision, become heightened. The amygdala blocks out anything that competes for your awareness, this why the fear grips you so much. Naturally at this stage all of your resources are devoted to keeping you alive. The number one fear is public speaking followed by asking someone out on a date. This is fear of rejection.”
When we freeze with fear it is something that has been brought on by over activity of the amygdala … the lizard brain. When signals from the body are misread by the amygdala it can cause out of place actions. If only you could have stopped that emotion of fear being stored in the first place then you would have been able to prevent it kicking in again at a later date. So we have to get in there and stabilise everything and clear out those memory banks before it gets too big to handle and becomes even more debilitating than it already is.
Top of the list when it comes to fear is speaking in public or at meetings. Second on the list is asking someone for something, perhaps asking someone out on a date that you have taking a liking to. The fear of looking a nerd and being told “no” is the stumbling block. This is fear of rejection. What makes you freeze when fear comes on? Easy! It is caused by the overreaction of your reptilian brain, the amygdala! This then stores the emotions of fear, but it can act in a way that causes you to act unreasonably … like running off, finding it difficult to breath or even fainting and so on! To correct this is quite easy; it just means resetting the memory of fear within you.
The defective signals sent out to your body by the reptilian brain can take you into a sensitive condition known as panic or anxiety. Then it nourishes itself by virtue of this continual loop and reacts in the exact same way when that set of circumstances comes on. This is how it goes on, but now there is a real opportunity to resolve that. Fear of spiders, flying, open spaces, enclosed spaces, heights and so on are things that can set off bodily changes. It is these physiological changes that bring on all those negative feelings within you like: dry mouth, dizziness, trembling, increased heart rate, pain in your chest, difficulty in swallowing, tightness in your chest, etc, etc. So why live like that? You can now change that for the better.
Turning off the emotion of fear is not that simple once the floodgates have been opened. The brain’s cortex cannot get a grip on it; it overrides anything logical that might have a remote chance of running through your head. However there is some good news … there is a way to fix this problem. These false alarms are what bring on the attack of fear. So if we can empty the stored information that is waiting to be triggered then we can totally eradicate that particular relationship between the amygdala and what sets the fear off. Then it will no longer recognise the situation as a life threatening nature. Many have tried immersion and cognitive therapy … all to no avail. Now there is a way to beat the fear without even having to come into contact with what sets it off.
You may well have done the rounds and tried just about every remedy that is out there. Maybe you have downloaded all of those glitzy MP3s that do little more than bring you computer viruses or just simply clog your PC while you get around to trying them one day. You need something tangible, something that really gets to grips with fear and something that actually works rapidly.
So how do you beat the fear in such situations without resorting to hypnosis or subliminal messaging? One of the most powerful ways to do this is now available to the public. International best selling mind power author Stephen Richards has developed a potent way to help you overcome your fear, which is a roadblock of irrational thoughts about uncertain situations that stops you progressing in life.
In order to really make inroads into eradicating your fear a specially designed audio was formulated that uses techniques to get right to the core of the problem, and in rapid time. By using up to date methods with brainwave technology it was found that it defeated the need to use outdated self-hypnosis or subliminal messaging.
There must be 1001 ways to overcome irrational fear, but none so fast as this method. This method overcomes the need for frequent visits to your hypnotherapist, and of course saving you the immense cost too. The specially made CD by Stephen Richards zones in to the heart of the problem, and the best part is you can hear every word being spoken. What would have been thought impossible ten years ago is now reality. In less than 30 minutes the primary track on the CD targets the area in need of help, simple as that.
The “Releasing You From Fear CD” uses up to date technology which zones in on the area in need of a fix. All of those stored emotional memories of fear are worked on, just like a virus scanner on your computer, until it is in ‘system restored’ mode and you can start afresh. Stephen Richards says, “I have formulated this to work in such a way that it is one of the fastest and easiest methods available today to help you overcome irrational fear. I am also qualified as a hypnotherapist, yet I am not advocating that avenue as a cure because I know it is pricey to go through 10 or 20 sessions of that therapy. This is why I have specifically designed this CD to target the amygdala, but without compromising what it is supposed to do and in a safe and natural way.
